The Funniest Presentation Authority

Communication has always been my thing. I taught literature, writing and public speaking for more than twenty years, and worked in publishing before that. I have lived and worked literally coast to coast–most recently, I taught public speaking at Stanford for six years before leaving academia, moving back to Boise and opening Boise SpeakWell in 2011. I’ve worked closely with TEDxBoise since its first show in early 2015, coaching speakers as they shape their ideas and get ready to grace the red famous dot on the stage. Helping people with public speaking is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I know from experience how scary it can be–but I also know the joy of facing that fear, figuring out how to be yourself onstage, and really connecting with people in the audience.
